NU (Next Up) Generation Youth Ministries

NU Generation is the youth ministry of Living the Word International for youth 18 months to 17 years old. The acronym “NU” stands for “Next Up”. Our children are faced with countless situations that put them at high-risk for long-term poverty, delinquency, teen pregnancy, and addiction among other things. The NU Generation is poised and positioned to advance the kingdom of God for the next generation. Therefore, his generation has the responsibility to train and develop the NU Generation to overcome those challenges and become the champions God has called them to be.

Psalm 78:4-7 says,
“We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done. For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make the known to their children; that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.

We cannot fail in our efforts to hand off the baton of a vibrant, kingdom-focused faith to our children.  As parents and spiritual leaders, we can successfully achieve this goal by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them, demonstrating His love toward them, and living the Word before them.

The following programs are integral programs within the NU Generation youth ministry:

  • Little Lambs (18 mos. – 3 years old)
  • The Fruit of the Spirit Puppet Ministry (Pre K to 1st Grade)
  • R.O.Y.A.L. – Reigning Obedient Youth Anchored in Love (2nd Grade – 5th Grade)
  • I.G.N.I.T.E. – In God Nothing Is Too Extreme (6th Grade – 8th Grade)
  • Fire Starters Teen Ministry – (9th Grade – 12th Grade)

Children under the age of 17 do not have to be members to participate.

Parents,

The bible declares that our children are like arrows soon to be released from our families and communities. It is God’s desire for each of them to hit the target of His will for their lives. He has created each one for a specific purpose and to have a specific impact on the world with their lives.

Here at LTWI, we believe our role as spiritual leaders in the community is to seek God for an understanding of the call that is on each child’s life and to equip them to walk in that call. Our desire is to encourage them to look beyond the temporary pleasures of life and to develop a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

So, parents we encourage you to get involved by having your child or children attend our youth ministry’s programs. Let’s partner together that we may successfully “aim” them as arrows, to fulfill God’s perfect will and purposes for their lives.

With the Love of Christ,
Sis. Dee Bautista, Director of NU Generation Ministry
